48 Senators Who Voted to Put Your Employer Between You and Your Doctor →

destroythegop:

On a motion to table (i.e. shelve) S.1813, a NO vote means those who wished to see this legislation proceed.

(The good guys voted YES to burying this legislation in the garbage heap of history where it belongs.)

The below listed Senators — wholly owned subsidiaries of Big Insurance every one — voted today on a bill that would allow Your Employer to deny YOU insurance for ANY medical service or prescription to which they had a moral objection.

Note that this would not only apply to women and the Catholic Church’s “moral objection” to sex, but would also apply to men and children, and whatever an employer’s religious fetishes were.  If for example, your employer had a “moral objection” to Obesity Caused by High Fat Diets, they could prevent you from receiving insurance coverage for cholesterol-reducing Rx drugs.

Reminder: We The People pay both hefty salaries and Cadillac benefits — including coverage for Birth Control — to these traitorous cretins:

Wanna Piece of Me?!: Follow-up: Tumblr’s New Policy Against Pro-Self-Harm Blogs →

staff:

Last Thursday, we posted a draft of a new policy against blogs that actively promote self-harm, along with some PSA-style language to appear next to searches associated with self-injury. The reaction was overwhelming. The post itself provoked more than 25,000 likes, reblogs, and…
